If you’re a member of Hagerty Drivers Club, you might have seen DRIVESHARE appearing in the last three issues of Hagerty Drivers Club Magazine.
Our ad features Bonnie Wayland and her beautiful 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle, Lucy. Bonnie runs Dreamy Dubs Weddings + Events in Phoenix, Arizona, and Lucy has become a much-loved part of her story: chauffeuring weddings, events and plenty of joyful drives along the way.

Lucy is exactly the kind of car we love to showcase on DRIVESHARE: a car with personality, history and an owner who genuinely enjoys sharing it with others.
Meet Bonnie and Lucy
Many of you will recognize Bonnie from the Owner Spotlight we published last year. Her love for the Beetle goes back to childhood stories about her grandfather’s 1959 Volkswagen, and owning Lucy brought that connection full circle.
One of her most memorable moments was driving her grandfather in the car shortly before he passed away, a moment she describes as completing the story that first sparked her love of classic cars. Lucy has since played a role in weddings, events and even Bonnie’s own getaway drive after her ceremony.
Bonnie and Lucy appear in the current issue of the magazine, the third ad of ours to run in the publication in recent months. If you receive the print edition, keep an eye out for them. And if not, you’ll also be able to spot DRIVESHARE in the upcoming May/June digital issue.

An independent platform
DRIVESHARE was previously owned by Hagerty but was sold in 2023 and now operates as an independent platform. Since then, the business has expanded to include BookAclassic, bringing the marketplace to more than 34 countries.
Your car, your story
Bonnie and Lucy are a great example of what makes this community special: owners who care deeply about their cars and enjoy sharing them with others.
If you already have a car on the platform, now is a great time to make sure your listing is up to date and ready for the season ahead. And if you’ve been thinking about listing a car, we’d love to see it. Who knows... your story might be the one we feature next.
