This month, DRIVESHARE was featured in Cathay Pacific’s inflight magazine, a global title that celebrates the very best in travel, design, and culture. The article, Retro Travel Experiences explores how vintage-inspired adventures are making a comeback, and we were delighted to see DRIVESHARE highlighted among their favorite ways to travel through time.
In a feature that takes readers from the 1950s through to the 1990s, Cathay chose Austin, Texas as the place to capture the spirit of mid-century Americana, complete with soda fountains, honky tonks, and, of course, classic cars. Accompanying the story is a beautiful shot of a cream-coloured 1950s Ford Thunderbird, listed on DRIVESHARE by owner William Little.

Capturing What DRIVESHARE Is All About
As Cathay put it, DRIVESHARE “specialises in classic vehicles, available to rent in pristine condition by the hour or day — just the thing for embarking on your very own American road trip.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. That sense of nostalgia, freedom, and connection between driver and road is exactly why our community exists.
The piece sits alongside other beautifully told travel stories, from 1960s glamour in Rome to 1970s bohemia in Los Angeles and 1980s energy in Tokyo, reminding us how the past continues to inspire the way we explore today.
Driving Experiences That Stay With You
Whether it’s cruising Route 66 in a convertible or taking a day trip through the hill country, DRIVESHARE is about rediscovering the joy of driving. Seeing that reflected in Cathay Pacific’s pages (and in the seat-back pockets of travellers around the world) is a real milestone for our growing community.

And this is just the start. We’ve got more exciting press coverage coming this season, sharing how DRIVESHARE is helping people everywhere connect with the cars (and eras) they love.
