Meet Judson Puckett, a DRIVESHARE Pro Owner based in Alpharetta, Georgia, with a collection of three SUVs that are as ready for the camera as they are for a stylish wedding getaway. From starring in TV and film productions to collecting trophies at car shows, Judson’s vehicles have done it all.
How did you get into collecting classic SUVs?
I had grown up owning 60s muscle cars. However, when I had the funds as an adult to buy, I was drawn to classic American SUVs. We bought the 1968 Bronco right before the pricing took off. We loved the Grand Wagoneer for its distinct campiness and classic American styling cues like fake wood paneling and factory shag carpet. Once the new Bronco was announced, we felt it would be fun to have both bookend generations. Here are the three cars I have listed on DRIVESHARE:
1968 Ford Bronco
Purchased and restored 15 years ago. Painted red when purchased, then painted back to its original Sky View Blue with Wimbledon White accents. Used in American Made (Tom Cruise), The War with Granada (Robert De Niro), Stranger Things, Panhandle, and the music video “Innerstate” by Zaia. Our most popular wedding getaway / styled shoot vehicle.
1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Purchased 16 years ago and fully restored since with a rebuilt transmission and 360 AMC V8. Platinum Silver Metallic paint with iconic woodgrain sides. Used as Josh Lucas’s vehicle in Long Slow Exhale, American Made, and Stranger Things. The featured catalog vehicle for Southern Tide clothing catalog 2023 and the music video “Show Off” by Sahbabii directed by Cole Bennett. Also participates in the wedding business.
2021 Ford Bronco Outer Banks
Bought new as one of the very first Broncos off the assembly line after a 15-month wait on the reservation list. Cactus Green with a soft top and all the electronic goodies. Also popular on the wedding circuit.
What makes this collection special to you?
We’ve won many awards and trophies at car shows over the years and have participated in parades. The movie/film production is always interesting and it’s fun to see your vehicle in the final cut. I caught Tom Cruise on the set of American Made taking a selfie with the Bronco during a break.
The Grand Wagoneer and new Bronco are almost completely stock vehicles. The old Bronco has been upgraded with front power disc brakes, an automatic transmission, and a 2.5” lift to make it a little more modern. We store the vintage vehicle in a garage year-round. We may pass the cars down to our children if there is interest... who knows?
How did you discover DRIVESHARE?
I’ve always been a car enthusiast and amateur restorer. However, I had no idea there was a market for productions and weddings. This has grown into an almost full-time side hustle for us. We had to bring on our oldest son as a driver: we have had so many rentals, as well as other drivers.
What do you love most about being part of the DRIVESHARE community?
We have had so much fun being a part of DRIVESHARE. For 2024, we were awarded Best of Georgia in the Georgia Business Journal for chartered transportation service in the state!
