Meet Patrick Brandle, a DRIVESHARE Pro Owner based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who owns a true icon of American automotive history: the first-generation Chevrolet Camaro. We sat down with Patrick and asked him more about his car and his journey to listing on DRIVESHARE.

Why did you join DRIVESHARE?

I have loved these classics my entire life and always wanted to share the excitement and fun of driving a convertible classic Camaro with others. I’m a police officer nearing retirement, and I’ve wanted to give people who may not have had the opportunity a chance to enjoy the experience of driving an actual piece of Americana.

Tell us about your car

It’s a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS convertible – one of the most iconic cars ever manufactured. This is my third ’67 Camaro, but my first convertible. It’s a fun driver with a strong 350 V8 and a 700r4 automatic transmission with overdrive.

Cruising with the top down and the wind in your face is literally like going back in time. The smooth lines, throaty exhaust, and strong stance make it a joy to drive. We’ve gone through the car from front to back to make sure it delivers a smooth and authentic ride, even at nearly 60 years old.

What makes your location special?

We bought this Camaro with the Coast life in mind. Ocean Springs is the home of Cruising the Coast – the largest and best cruise-in in the country. You’ve got the beaches, casinos, local culture, restaurants, destination locations, and year-round photo opportunities.

The Camaro has been driven everywhere from the downtown strip to the interstate – where the overdrive transmission mellows out the ride – and it gets smiles and thumbs up wherever it goes.

What do you enjoy about hosting on DRIVESHARE?

I love being part of a community that shares a passion for classic cars. DRIVESHARE gives me the chance to meet great people, hear their stories, and give them a memorable experience behind the wheel of something special.
