There’s something about seeing iconic cars in real life. And we might be an online platform, but you can't beat the real thing. We were at Brooklands Museum in Surrey, UK over the weekend for the Easter Classic Gathering, attending as BookAclassic by DRIVESHARE with the team from smallcarBIGCITY.
There were hundreds of cars, a real mix of eras, and owners who know every detail of what they’re driving. The photos speak for themselves, but what stood out most wasn’t just the cars, it was the people behind them.
Afterwards, we had messages like “Was great to see everybody in the team” and “Fantastic day and great to chat and meet you all”, which reflects something we hear often when we spend time with owners in person.
We're not just online
DRIVESHARE is global, and this is a good example of that in practice. While this event was in the UK, the same thing is happening across the US. The team has been out meeting owners there too, most recently in Boston, Phoenix, Charlotte and LA, and those conversations always have a different feel when they happen face to face.
You can browse cars anywhere, but getting a proper sense of the stories behind them, and the people sharing them, is something that really comes through in person.
A mix that tells a story
One thing that stood out at Brooklands was the mix of vehicles. Not just older classics, but newer cars too. Different eras, different styles, and all with something to say.
That’s exactly what we encourage on DRIVESHARE. It’s not about age, it’s about the car. If it’s interesting, iconic, or has a story behind it, it belongs on the platform.
