If you’re thinking about renting out your classic car on DRIVESHARE, one of the first questions is bound to be about money. How do payouts work? How is pricing calculated? And when will you actually see the funds hit your account? Here’s a simple breakdown of what to expect.
When You Get Paid
After a rental is complete, DRIVESHARE transfers funds to your account within three business days. This short window gives us time to adjust for things like cancellations, mileage overages or unfilled gas tanks. From there, it can take another day or two for the funds to appear in your bank account depending on your bank’s processing times. In practice, most owners see their payout 4–7 days after the trip ends.
To make sure everything runs smoothly, all hosts need to have their DRIVESHARE account page fully set up before accepting any bookings. That way, your earnings can flow straight into your account once rentals are complete.

What DRIVESHARE Takes
DRIVESHARE keeps 20% of the rate on each completed trip. This helps cover platform costs customer support and marketing that brings renters to your listing. The rest goes straight to you.
Security Deposits
Every trip includes a security deposit to protect owners. If there’s an issue — say, damage not related to an accident, a soiled interior or smoking residue — let DRIVESHARE know as soon as possible after the car is returned. Unless we’re notified, security deposits are automatically returned 72 hours after a rental ends.

How Quotes Are Calculated
The total rental price depends on the type of rental you’ve chosen to offer:
- Driving Rental – Your daily rate applies, calculated per 24 hours.
- Event Rental – You may set both a daily and an hourly rate. Quotes are based either on the number of hours booked (hourly rate) or full days (daily rate), depending on the length of the rental.
- Chauffeur Rental – Your hourly rate applies, with a minimum trip price. The total will be the number of booked hours at your hourly rate, or your minimum trip price, whichever is higher.
- Delivery – If you’ve enabled delivery, a fee will be added based on the distance to the renter’s location and the delivery rate you set.
