This week we're heading to Huntington Beach, California, where DRIVESHARE Pro Owner Chuck Stubbings shares the story behind Beach Gypsy Classics and how a single Mustang grew into a collection of ten classic vehicles.
From Porsche Speedsters and Ford Mustangs to a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Thunderbird and Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, Chuck and his family have built a thriving classic car business by sharing their passion for vintage vehicles with others.
How did Beach Gypsy Classics begin?
The collection started with one Mustang and we did so well on DRIVESHARE that we just purchased a car every year from the money we made. We have grown very quickly and turned it into a small family business.
My wife and daughter help me work on the cars, and my wife runs the social media and business side. This whole thing started with one car listed, and went on to our tenth... We couldn't have done this without DRIVESHARE.

What vehicles do you currently have on DRIVESHARE?
We have two Porsche 356 replicas, two 1966 Ford Mustang convertibles, a 1966 Ford Mustang GT350, a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette, a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible and a classic 1956 wooden ski boat.
Our cars have been featured in TV shows, music videos and hundreds of weddings.

What are some of your favorite memories since owning the vehicles?
Some of our best memories are the high-profile projects, including having our cars featured in Sabrina Carpenter's hit Espresso music video and the now-famous Sydney Sweeney American Eagle jeans campaign. That was our 1966 Ford Mustang in the commercial.
It was so fun to have that commercial played in every American Eagle store in the world for eight weeks. We also have a car in a TV show coming out on Netflix. But honestly, it's being part of people's special moments like weddings and anniversaries that make it special for us. We also love having a job and hobby the whole family gets to be a part of.

How has DRIVESHARE helped you grow the business?
We have met so many great people and had so much fun sharing our collection. We've even been able to employ our neighbor as our delivery driver and chauffeur for the last two years thanks to DRIVESHARE.
What has your experience been like sharing your cars?
It's amazing to me how much care people take of the cars and how much respect people have for them. With over 50 rentals in the past several years, we honestly haven't had any problems.

What does the future look like for Beach Gypsy Classics?
I plan on doing this when I retire in five years. We have no plans on stopping: we love sharing our passion for classic rides and classic car experiences.
Thank you, Chuck, for sharing your story and being part of the DRIVESHARE community. You can explore the Beach Gypsy Classics collection on DRIVESHARE, where his classic vehicles are available to rent in California.
